Community Kshamawani Mahotsav held at CM’s residence

Bhopal: Community Kshamawani Mahotsav was held at Chief Minister’s residence here today. At the function, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that temple of Baba at Kundalpur will be developed. It will be done through the Archaeology Department. It will give message of peace to the world. It was informed that Rs. 10 crore have been sanctioned for the development of Digambar, Shwetambar and Taaran Taran Jain centres of pilgrimage in the state. Jain Sant Acharya Vidyasagar Gau Samvardhan Yojna is being implemented in Madhya Pradesh. It is the only scheme in the country in the name of a Jain saint.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Jain religion shows the path of love and not fight, coordination and not revenge. A coward person cannot forgive others. It can be done only by the person who is brave. The Chief Minister said that he salutes the spirit of Jain followers’ sentiment of well being towards all living beings. He wished that this spirit is spread all over the world. He informed that the world’s first cow sanctuary will open in the state on December 24.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that one who wins over others is a brave person, but the person who wins self is Mahaveer (bravest). He urged people to love sons and daughters equally. Female foeticide is a major sin. If there is no daughter, from where daughter-in-law will come? He said that Beti Bachao Abhiyan was profusely lauded during his visit to the USA recently. He called for disseminating it in the South Asian countries also.
The programme was also addressed by former Chief Ministers Shri Sundarlal Patwa and Shri Kailash Joshi, Finance Minister Shri Raghavji and Water Resources Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya.
This was the third community Kshamawani Mahotsav at the Chief Minister’s residence. It is noteworthy that residence of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is the first CM’s Residence in the country where festivals and occasions of all the religions are celebrated.
The programme began with lighting of lamp by the guests. Mangal Geet was sung by Smt. Sudha Malaiya. Mangal Charan was presented by Kumar Astha and Priyal Jain. Bhamri Shwetambar Sangh enacted a mini play focusing on women’s empowerment. Songs were also presented by Viva Group. The function was conducted by Shri Vijesh Lunawat and Shri Nitin Namgaonkar.
Medical Education Minister Shri Anup Mishra, Home Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Food Minister Shri Paras Jain, chairpersons of corporations and boards, MLAs and followers of Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and all Jain sects were present on the occasion.
