CM urge people of state to plant saplings

Bhopal: On the occasion of World Forestry Day March 21, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has extending greetings to state’s people urged to plant saplings as well as take pledge to ensure their safety.
In his message on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that trees are protectors of environment. A large-scale public awareness campaign is underway in the world for environmental conservation. A number of public participation-based forest management and development activities are underway in Madhya Pradesh. Schemes like Hariyali Mahotsav and plantation on private lands have been implemented to bridge the gap between demand and supply of forest produce in the state. Efforts are also being made to promote non-formal energy sources in this regard.
