Cm unfurls national flag at Motilal Nehru Stadium
Bhopal: Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Motilal Nehru Stadium where Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was the chief guest. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan unfurled National Flag. He inspected the parade and took salute. He greeted state’s people on Independence Day and read out his message. Contingents participating in parade fired in the air along with tune of National Song. March past was done by contingents of STF, SAF North Zone, South Zone, Women Force, District Police Force, Railway Police, Home Guards, Jail Department, Forest Department, NCC Army Wing, Naval Boys Wing, Air Wing, Army Wing Division Girls, Scout Boys, Guide Girls, Police Band and mounted police. The parade was led by parade commander Shri D. Kalyan Chakravarti, IPS, Additional SP, Indore.
Reading out his special message focusing on state’s achievements, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that state’s development is the result of untiring efforts of its people. Madhya Pradesh has achieved development at an unprecedented rate during last 10 years. He said that new destinations of development have to be reached and develop such a state where everyone is happy, healthy and prosperous and where people can contribute their best for the development of country and state.
On the occasion, 5 Police Medals of the President, 8 Vishisht Sewa Medals for police, 4 Medals for Home Guards and 34 police medals of the President of commendable service were presented. Following the function, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan got introduction of all parade commanders.
Shield of first prize for parade was presented to STF’s Company Commander Shri Umashankar Shivhare and NCC Wing’s Under Officer Shri Ritupoorn Nachiketa Bhave.
MP Shri Kailash Joshi, Chief Minister’s Wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, DGP Shri Nandan Dube, senior administrative officers, distinguished persons and large number of people of the state capital were present on the occasion.
