CM Shri Chouhan does Dhanteras shopping with family
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan did shopping with family on Dhanteras in Chowk Bazar area here today. He was accompanied by wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, sons Shri Kartikey and Shri Kunal and Bhopal district BJP president Shri Alok Sharma.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan went round the market on foot. He shared Dhanteras and Deepawali greetings with other shoppers in the market.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that discharge of Indian traditions gives pleasure and feeling of pride. It is tradition in India to purchase something on Dhanteras. Shopping is being done in observance of this tradition. Extending Dhanteras greetings, he wished increase in income and improvement of living standard of all. Madhya Pradesh government is also making efforts for the same objective. He extended Dhanteras greetings to both shoppers and shopkeepers.
Before starting shopping, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid obeisance at Curfew Wali Mata Mandir at Peer Gate. He entered the market from Peer Gate side and visited business establishments in Veer Sawarkar Chowk, Loha Bazar, Sarafa Bazar, Lakherapura, Ibrahimpura, Jumerati Gate and Kabadkhana. As per Dhanteras tradition, he also purchased silver coins and domestic utensils.
