CM launches web portal for building permission

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched a web portal for granting building permission on plots up to 500 square metres outside the urban body area and under investment area (village) of the state.

He launched it during a review meeting held at his residence office here. On January 3, he had launched a similar web portal for grant of permission for construction of houses on plots up to 500 square metres within limits of urban civic bodies.

The launch is seen as simplifying the process for building permission on the plots up to 500 square metres, an official communication said.

The applicant will have to deposit the processing and building permit fees by submitting an online application.

The in-principle consent will be issued immediately after examining the map as per the land rules. The applicant will get online approval after depositing the workman’s (labour) fee. Once that is done, the permission will be granted.

Baghel handed the first online in-principle permission to architect Mohit Solanki for the first applicant, Rashmi Khandekar.

During the departmental review meeting, it was decided to re-implement the Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development Regulation Amendment 2016 Act 2022.

After amending the earlier rules, for regularizing the unauthorized structures, relaxation will be given in issues like parking and other construction.
