Realme 3 to Samsung Galaxy M10: Top smartphones in India under Rs 10,000

These past two months have seen quite a few smartphone launches in different categories. There were some for the budget category in India as well. Companies like Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme showed off their latest budget competitors.

In one of the most popular sub-Rs 10,000 range, phones like Realme 3, Galaxy M10 and Redmi Note 7 top the list. Here’s a breakdown of five smartphones you can buy if your budget is Rs 10,000.

Realme 3

Realme 3 is the latest entrant in this price category. Starting at Rs 8,999, Realme 3 comes with Helio P70 chipset, a 6.2-inch HD+ display, and 4,230mAh battery. The smartphone sports dual 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Realme 3 comes in two storage variants of 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB.

Samsung Galaxy M10

Galaxy M10 is the cheapest offering in Samsung’s new budget series. Galaxy M10 features the new Infinity-V display, and offers dual 13-megapixel plus 5-megapixel rear cameras. It has a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Galaxy M10 is priced at Rs 8,990 and it comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

On the software front, it runs on the new OneUI. The smartphone packs a 3,400mAh battery. It however lacks a fingerprint sensor with face unlock being the key security feature.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7

Redmi Note 7 just touches the 10,000 mark with its base model starting at Rs 9,999. At this price, users get the 3GB+32GB storage variant of Redmi Note 7. The smartphone offers a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, and a 4,000mAh battery.

For photography, Redmi Note 7 has dual 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras, and a 13-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. It also comes with USB Type-C port for charging.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

Although almost a year old, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 stands as one of the best performing budget phones. The smartphone has a 6-inch Full HD+ display, and is powered by Snapdragon 636 processor. Its dual camera module comprises 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. It houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 packs a large 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone’s design may seem dated and it doesn’t have a notch either. But the phone is a tested performer.

Samsung Galaxy A10

Another Samsung smartphone in this list is the recently launched Galaxy A10. Part of the revamped Galaxy A series, Galaxy A10 comes with a refreshed design and upgraded specifications. The smartphone is similar to the Galaxy M10 with a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. It has a single 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Under the hood, it runs Exynos 7884 processor, and packs 2GB of RAM with 32GB of in-built storage. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,400mAh battery and runs OneUI with Android Pie out-of-the-box.
