BJP gets ready for LS battle leaving past behind: Jain

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and Chhattisgarh party in-charge Anil Jain said party workers had reasons to be angry with the party over several issues which led to its massive defeat in the 2018 state assembly elections.

Their anger would be assuaged now, Jain said while talking to media after two hours meeting with BJP state office bearers and party workers under Bastar Lok Sabha constituency at Jagdalpur on Wednesday.

BJP had commenced the series of meetings at cluster and assembly levels after the announcement of poll schedule. Chhattisgarh will go to polls in three phases starting from April 11. On the first phase elections will be held in one seat. In the second phase on April 18 elections will be held in three constituencies. For remaining seven seats, the last phase of elections will be held on April 23.

“All the party workers will be pacified. We will approach them and convince them to work for the party again in the Lok Sabha polls to help install Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre again,” Jain said.

“Every party worker will be motivated so that they work for the victory. Now country is first, then comes the party and workers. Bastar will witness polling in the first phase. With blessings of ‘Goddess Danteshwari’ BJP will commence its victory run from here,” BJP leader said.

“Party workers are being motivated to work hard keeping the past behind, said Jain. Irrespective of who is the candidate, party workers will work unitedly for the victory of those nominated by the party, as the target is to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister for the second term.
