CM demands increase in support price of wheat to Rs. 1600 per qtl

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged the Union Government to increase wheat support price to Rs. 1600 per quintal. Shri Chouhan said that prices of diesel, fertilisers, seeds, pesticides and labour charges have increase sharply. Therefore, farmers must get wheat support price of Rs. 1600 per quintal. The Chief Minister was addressing a skill development convention and Antyodaya Mela at Itarsi today.At Antyodaya Mela, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 124 works worth Rs. 42 crore 29 lakh. He inaugurated 55 works and laid foundation stones for 69 works. He gave away cheques worth Rs. 79 crore 42 lakh to 43 thousand 600 beneficiaries under various schemes.
Announcements: The Chief Minister said that a survey for better drainage will be conducted in Itarsi and its report implemented. He announced to provide Rs. 3 crore 49 lakh for construction of stadium at Itarsi and sanctioned Rs. one crore for community hall. Shri Chouhan also announced development of a garden at Itarsi, construction of CC road from railway station upto over-bridge and starting science and commerce faculties in Girls College, Itarsi.
The Chief Minister also announced to provide Rs. 6 crore for Hoshangabad city’s development from CM’s Infrastructure Development Fund. He said that transmission-conduction trade will be started in Pathrota ITI. Building of ITI will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 63 lakh.
The Chief Minister reiterated State Government’s commitment to welfare of the poor and state’s development. He informed about Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojna, Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna, Ladli Laxmi Yojna and other schemes. Shri Chouhan appealed to people to come forward to avail optimum benefit of government’s welfare schemes. He said that strict action will be taken against those committing negligence in the schemes’ implementation.
Forest Minister Shri Sartaj Singh also informed about various schemes of the State Government. MLA Shri Girijahshankar Sharma acquainted the Chief Minister with local problems.
Madhya Pradesh Housing Board Chairman Shri Rampal Singh, Gau-Samvardhan Board Chairman Shri Shiv Chaube, Electronics Development Corporation Chairman Shri Premshankar Verma, MLAS Shri Vijay Pal Singh and Shri Thakur Das Nagwanshi and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
