CM conducts Surprise Inspection of Hamidia Hospital
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has conducted surprise inspection of Hamidia Hospital here today. He inspected the registration process of outdoor patients, medicines distribution and medical treatment etc. in the hospital. Moreover, he spoke to the patients and their family members visiting emergency ward. Expressing profound displeasure over the improper arrangements, Shri Chouhan gave directives to give charge to the Principal Secretary Public Health Gouri Singh in place of Additional chief Secretary Medical Education Shri Parabhanshu Kamal, to post Shri Manish Rastogi as Commissioner medical Education and to remove Dr. Ulka Shrivastava from the post of Dean Medical College. Also expressing anger over insanitation, Shri Chouhan directed the officials to terminate the contract with sanitation agency with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan mentioned the need for total reforms in the administrative arrangements of hospitals in order to make better arrangements and resources at hospital to provide better services to the patients and to avoid inconvenience. Shri Chouhan directed the Divisional Commissioner and District Collector to conduct intensive study about the hospital’s management arrangements. Deliberate with patients and collect information about their needs and expectations. Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that medical treatment should be provided to the patients from the experts, in case of non availability of proper and sufficient arrangements at the hospital. He also directed the officials to take concrete and permanent steps to improve the arrangements.
It may be highlighted that Shri Chouhan while going towards state hangar, visited Hamidia Hospital suddenly. He deliberated with the women standing in the queue for outdoor patient registration. He also visited free medicine distribution room and apprised himself about the availability of the medicines. Moreover, Shri Chouhan inspected the emergency ward toilet and directed the official to terminate the contract on account of insanitation.
Furthermore, Shri Chouhan visited emergency ward, discussed with the patients Shri Mehtab, Nathuram, Rajjulal, Rambai and apprised himself about the medicines being provided to them. He directed the doctor Devpujari to provide free medical treatment to Rajjulal suffering from kidney disease. Further, Shri Chouhan also collected information from the junior doctors regarding arrangements. He mentioned that he will deliberate with the hospital doctors separately.
