Massive Congress protest in Bhopal ; 50 Congressmen arrested
Today party workers and leaders of Congress staged massive protest. Congress leaders continued protest from Jawahar Chowk to surround Raj Bhavan and broke the barricade near Rangmahal.
The party worker walked forward while Kamal Nath, leader of the opposition Dr. Govind Singh and other big leaders were riding on the truck.
The Congress party workers and leaders climbed over barricades and were chased and stopped by using water cannons.
Police have arrested 50 activists including Jitu Patwari, Kunal Chaudhary. The police loaded the workers in 3 buses and left the exhibition venue.
Before starting the foot march from Jawahar Chowk, PCC chief and former chief minister Kamal Nath told the workers, “The biggest test is your loyalty in the next 6 months.” It is believed that if you have raised the flag of Congress for 18 years with loyalty, no one can stop you. It’s not about the Congress, it’s about the future of Madhya Pradesh. He said, every class is troubled in Madhya Pradesh. Wandering youths, unhappy farmers, traders all are troubled. We should proudly claim the works in 15 months we introduced our policy and intention.
Leader of the opposition Dr. Govind Singh said, today there is a wave of change in the entire region. This demonstration is to overthrow the dishonest government.
Former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh Rahul said – Those who betrayed Jhansi ki Rani brought down Janata ki Chuni (elected by people) government. Do they have the courage to contest the assembly elections this time.
Rajiv Singh, state vice-president and organization in-charge of Congress, said that the BJP government at the center has adopted the policy of crony capitalism in favor of industrialist Gautam Adani. Rising inflation in the country, rampant unemployment in the region, stressed farmers, scheduled caste-tribes, backward classes, minority classes and oppression of women, rape, murder, worsening law and order situation due to wrong policies of the BJP government.
