Chief Minister meets Prime Minister

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence and invited him for dedication of War Memorial on October 14 in Bhopal. The Chief Minister requested the Prime Minister to participate in ex-army men’s convention to be held on the same day in Bhopal. Prime Minister Shri Modi has accepted the invitation to visit Bhopal for both the events on October 14. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed the Prime Minister that construction of War Memorial had been completed.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has invited Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parikar and chiefs of the three forces for dedication ceremony of the War Memorial.

During the visit, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed the Prime Minister about execution of the roadmap for doubling income of farmers in next five years by the State. Shri Chouhan said that farmers will be informed about measures and related programmers to double their income by holding divisional and district level conventions soon. The Chief Minister said that Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Union Agriculture Minister Shri Radhamohan Singh too have been invited for these farmers’ convention.

Shri Chouhan said that war memorial has been made in the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their life while protecting the country. It aims to motivate the people for patriotism. Names of all martyrs of the state will be written on the memorial who sacrificed their lives to protect the country. Along with common people, army personnel and ex-army men from the state and the country will be invited for the programme so that they salute and pay tributes to the martyrs.
