Challan against rape accused persons in just 11 days

Bhopal: Taking prompt action, the police have presented challan in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate against two accused of a rape case in just 11 days. The two have been charged with rape of a minor girl at village Ranital in Sihora tahsil of Jabalpur district. Recently in a rape case in Dhar district, prosecution officers of the police had achieved success in getting accused in a rape case sentenced to death by a court in just 35 days.
In the Jabalpur case, the victim had lodged an FIR on December 19 at Gosalpur police station that Khillu Kumhar and Kandhiram had raped her. Taking prompt action, the police presented challan in the case on December 30. The case will be heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge.
The rape victim had stated in the FIR that Khillu Kumhar with the help of his accomplice Kandhiram got hold of her when she was cleaning utensils, gagged her and took her inside the house. Khillu Kumhar locked the room from outside. Later, Kandhi beat and raped her. He also threatened to kill the victim.
It is noteworthy that in December last, the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Manawar in Dhar district had sentenced to death an accused who had raped a 4-year-old girl, completing the hearing within 35 days.
