Bhopal Ijtema Commences
Bhopal — The Alami Tablighi Ijtema, the largest Muslim congregation in the country, got underway after Fajr prayers on the outskirts of the state capital on Friday, the opening sermons were delivered by Maulana Inam-ul-Haq from New Delhi.
Several foreign Jamaats from , Saudi Arabia, Russia, Philippines, Egypt, United Kingdom, South Africa, United Kingdom, Burma, Iran, Malaysia and Indonesia are participating in the three day event that will conclude with Dua on Sunday afternoon.
Nearly 100,000 people are already camping at the Ijtema site and the number is expected to swell further over the next two days.
A huge security posse consisting of hundreds of policemen and officers are guarding the congregation that epitomizes the ganga-jamuni tehzeeb of Bhopal.
