Better Policy Can be Framed With Good Intention

Bhopal. If intention is good, better policy will be made. This was said by the students during the debate competion on the subject ‘Promoting Ethics in Local Self Government-Is it Feasible and would It Influence Politics Beneficiary’ held at National Law Institute University. Seven students in favour and seven students in opposition expressed views in the competition.

Shri Prahash Johri and Adaitya Vandopadhyaya were declared winner whereas Ku. Rimsha Zafar and Shri Aditya Nayak stood runner up in the competition. Third postion was bagged by Ku. Kritika Singh and Ku. Garima Purohit. Commissioner State Election Commission Shri R. Parshuram distributed certificates to the participants.

Capacity to Listen Others is ending

Commissioner State Election Commission Shri R. Parshuram said that agreement and disagreement is a different thing, but capacity to listen others is ending in politics. He mentioned that awareness is most important besides education. He further said that Election Commission is making efforts to include all eligible voters in the list and they must come to vote. All efforts are being made to stop unethical activities in election process.

Secreary Smt. Sunita Tripathi said that orators have expressed important views in favour and in opposition. She said that local self government is the lowest step of democracy. Moreover, she informed that model code of conduct is being strictly adhered during the election.

Director N.L.I.U. Dr. S.S. Singh mentioned that ethics should be followed since begining of election. He further said that not only candidate but voters too must follow the morality and ethics.
