Better Law and Order is first Condition for Good governance

Bhopal. The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that better law and order is the Pre condition of good governance and Madhya Pradesh Police has proved to be the best in the country for proper implementation of law and order in the state. Activities of naxalites, dacoits and terrorists has been controlled in the state due to the vigilance and dedication by the police force. Lauding role of police in successful organization of Simhasth 2016, he said that police has proved its competency and smartness and has earned respect and honour in the entire world. He thanked police administration for not let any untoward incident happened.

Shri Chouhan was addressing the officers and employees of the police force who are honoured with President Medals for their excellent performance today. It may be highlighted that the Chief Minister always invites police personnel honoured with President Medals along with their families at his residence every year.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan mentioned that relation between the police and public should be always cordial. Police should respect people and people should also give respect to the police. He added that families of the police personnel play an important role for effective discharge of duties by the police personnel. Hence, they should also be thanked. Tradition to honour the dedicated police personnel will be continued.

As regard to the housing, Shri Chouhan said responsibility to build 25 thousand houses has been given to the Police housing Corporation. Efforts are being made to give pace to make houses available for the police personnel.

Shri Chouhan urged that the police personnel should provide good education to their children. No economic hindrance will come in the way of education. He informed that a Mukhya Mantri Meghavi Chhatra Sahayta Yojna is being implemented with a fund of Rs. 1000 crore. Benefit of the scheme can be derived from the next academic session. He extended Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan greetings to the families of police personnel.

CM Shri Chouhan honoured Dr. Sanjay Singh and Dr. Nitesh Dhasmana with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam award for their high level research work. It may be mentioned that the award has been instituted by the police housing corporation in order to honour the children of police personnel for their best performance in research. Under this a sum of Rs. 1 lakh and a citation letter is given.

DGP police Shri Rishi Kumar Shukla, DGP Jail Shri Vijay Kumar Singh, DGP Home Guards Shri Maithailisharan Gupt, Managing Director of Police Housing Corporation Shri Sanjay Rana and senior police officers were present on the occasion.
