Beauty of Boat club to be Enhanced
BHOPAL: To further enhance the beauty of boat club Railways will install one of its old steam engines at the Boat Club on the banks of the Upper Lake here by May 31. A model of old Bhopal Railway station will also be constructed.
Urban Administration & Development Minister Babulal Gaur informs this on Tuesday during his visit to Boat club. He said that installation of installation of a model of Indian Navy’s warship Shivalik has added to the beauty of the Boat Club.
He lauded sanitary arrangements in the club. He also instructed officials about starting the renovation work of old Yacht Club soon.
He interacted with villagers who have receiving training for rowing and maintaining boats with the cooperation of the Forest Department.
He also visited lower lake. he inspected kayaking and canoeing training centre there. He said that lower lake will also be developed as a tourist attraction gradually.
He instructed about constructing boundary wall of the centre and pathway from centre up to Neelam Park via waterwheel and Police Officers’ Mess for the benefit of common people.
The minister informs about establishment of boat club for lower lake also. On the occasion Madhya Pradesh Sport Council Vice-President Om Yadav, former Corporators Krishnakant Chaurasia and Sushma Sahu and officers of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Bhopal Municipal Corporation were present.
