Attacking Leopard found Dead in CG Village

A leopard, known to have repeatedly attacked and injured many children in a Chhattisgarh village last week, was found dead in a pond at Murpar village of Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh on Monday, said media reports citing an official of the state forest department Tuesday.

Local residents expressed relief at the death of the leopard, which had sneaked into the village from a nearby forest, as the spotted cat had repeatedly attacked children and livestock reared by them, added the report.
