Allegation of recruitment from Gondia blatant lie: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no relative of his wife from Gondia (Maharashtra) has been selected as transport constable in Madhya Pradesh. He said what to talk about Gondia, not even a single soul from entire Maharashtra has been selected for this post. In his tweet today, the Chief Minister said that canard-mongers claimed that 17 persons from Gondia have been selected for transport constable’s post. Coming down heavily on such persons, the Chief Minister said that why such people do not attempt any fact-checking on their own before carrying out such ill-motivated and baseless canards in media? They alleged that 139 calls were made from CM house. They also issued call details which showed that not even one call was made from CM house. The Chief Minister said that just as a lie has no legs to stand on, a call details report has no legs of its own. It required substantiation. They do not even see the CDR. The Chief Minister said that he is not going to take it kindly. This is a clear case of defamation. The accusers will soon be served notice. The Chief Minister said that whatever little he has heard of media norms, they require taking the version of the person against whom allegations are being hurled. But this has not been done in this case. Shri Chouhan said that he knows that defeat hurts, particularly when it is twice. There are few people who maintain grace in defeat. But should they stoop so low? The Chief Minister said that entire list of selected transport constables was available on the departmental website. They did not care even to have a look at it. Shri Chouhan said that he is determined to cleanse assessment systems of all thuggery. The youth having nothing else but his genius to declare should not feel lost.
