All districts to get 24-hour power supply from May-end

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all the households in villages of the state will start getting 24-hour power supply from May-end this year while minimum 8-hour power will be provided for agriculture works. The Chief Minister was addressing villagers at Antyodaya Mela at Sultanpur in Raisen district today. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj, former Chief Minister Shri Sundarlal Patwa and MLA Shri Surendra Patwa were also present on the occasion.
Benefits worth over Rs. 33 crore 3 lakh were given away at Antyodaya Mela to 22 thousand 501 beneficiaries. He also distributed over Rs. 511 crore 75 lakh to 7 thousand beneficiaries of Obedullahganj development block. The Chief Minister also inaugurated 43 works worth Rs. 24 crore 80 lakh. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government will give compensation at the rate of Rs. 15 thousand per hectare against loss to crops by hailstorm. Referring to giving bonus of Rs. 150 per quintal on wheat procurement on support price, he said the concrete arrangements have been made for this in entire state. Apart from waving surcharge on farmers’ electricity bills, he also informed that farmers have been given facility to pay their electricity bills twice a year. He also referred to Yuva Swarozgar Yojna launched for youths and other schemes of the State Government.
MP Smt. Sushma Swaraj said that Madhya Pradesh is in the list of developing states in the country. She said that the State Government is making efforts to ensure welfare of all sections of society.
