About Rs. 49 crore sanctioned for expansion of health services

Bhopal: It has been decided to given administrative sanction of Rs. 48 crore 64 lakh 88 thousand 249 for construction and development works for expansion of health services and rural health infrastructure in the state. The decision was taken at a meeting of Standing Finance Committee of Public Health & Family Welfare Department here today.
Theses works include construction of mother wards in 40 district hospitals in the state, drinking water arrangements and external electrification in 484 sub-health centres, construction of new 100-bed hospital at Singrauli, re-wiring, MCB control panel and electrification in 8 district hospitals, offices of Chief Medical & Health Officers and drug stores in 3 district hospitals, 24 residential quarters in Sidhi, sewer line chambers and construction of septic tanks in 7 district hospitals etc.
Mother wards in 40 district hospitals: It has been decided to sanction Rs. 8 crore at the rate of Rs. 20 lakh per institution to 40 district hospitals in the state for construction of mother ward. These districts include Betul, Barwani, Balaghat, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Damoh, Dewas, Dhar, Guna, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Khargone, Mandla, Mandsaur, Morena, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sagar, Satna, Seoni, Shahdol, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Alirajpur, Anuppur, Bhopal, Datia, Gwalior, Harda, Jhabua, Katni, Neemuch, Raisen, Sehore, Shajapur, Sheopur, Sidhi, Tikamgarh and Umaria.
Drinking water facility in 484 sub-health centres: The committee gave administrative sanction of Rs. 12 crore 82 lakh 60 thousand for drinking water arrangements and external electrification in 484 sub-health centres constructed in the state through pre-fabricated technology. Administrative sanction of Rs. 9 crore 43 lakh 27 thousand 249 has been accorded for construction of a new 100-bed hospital building, trauma centre, PICU, maternity wing, microbiology unit at Singrauli. Rs. 2 crore 99 lakh 86 thousand has been sanctioned for re-wiring, MCB control panels and electrification works in Chhatarpur, Barwani, Khargone, Guna, Bhind, Morena, Shivpuri and Shajapur district hospitals.
Administrative sanction of Rs. 2 crore 60 lakh will be released for construction of a 30-bed hospital and one G and H type quarter each at Karera community health Centre in Shivpuri,Rs. 2 crore 51 lakh 94 thousand for construction of office of CMHO and drug store in Morena, Guna and Khargone district hospitals and Rs. 2 crore 48 lakh for construction of 24 residential quarters in Sidhi district hospital. These include 8 quarters of F, G and H types each.
Sewer arrangements in 7 district hospitals: Administrative sanction of Rs. 1 crore 77 lakh 14 thousand has been accorded for construction of sewer line chambers and septic tanks in Sagar, Chhatarpur, Alirajpur, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Dhar and Seoni district hospitals, Rs. 1 crore 4 lakh 2 thousand for construction of one G and H type houses each at Govindgarh community health centre in Rewa and Rs. 95 lakh for construction of Shahpur primary heath centre in Sagar district.
Administrative sanction of Rs. 85 lakh 42 thousand has been accorded for civil and renovation works of general wards 2 to 5 in TB Hospital, Bhopal and electrification/renovation works in other wards, Rs. 85 lakh 4 thousand for construction of 10 residential quarters in Singrauli district hospital including 2 F type and 4 G and H type quarters each and Rs. 83 lakh 87 thousand for construction of residential quarters and OPD block at Prithvipur community health centre in Tikamgarh district. In all, six G type houses and OPD block will be constructed using this amount.
Revised administrative sanction of Rs. 66 lakh 65 thousand has been accorded for construction of 10-bed Malhargarh community health centre, OPD, operation theatre, pathology lab and 2 residential quarters in the health centre in Mandsaur district. Rs. 42 lakh 26 thousand has been sanctioned for construction of 20-bed Sirmor community health centre in Rewa district, Rs. 35 lakh 39 thousand for renovation of buildings of community health centre Gangev and primary health centres at Laxmanpur and Rangoli in Rewa district and Rs. 4 lakh 42 thousand has been sanctioned for setting up of paver blocks at Tilawad primary health centre and other works in Shajapur district.
