98 transactions worth Rs. 186 crore made at Reverse Buyer-Seller meet

Bhopal: As many as 98 transactions worth Rs. 186 crore were made during 7th MP Exportech’s last day at Gwalior today. The meet was attended by ambassadors, high commissioners and other diplomats of 12 countries. As many as 62 importers, buyers and commercial advisors from all SAARC countries, South Asia, African countries, Latin America and East European countries participated in the Exportech. The meet was concluded by Gwalior Mayor Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar.

During the Exportech, participating countries evinced keen interest in herbal, Ayurvedic products and agro food sector. In all, 110 entrepreneurs from all over the state, specially Gwalior and Chambal areas had put up their stalls at this mega commercial meet.

Maximum Expressions of Interest (EOIs) worth Rs. 83.59 crore were made by Vietnamese buyers followed by Rs. 43.22 crore Sri Lankans, Rs. 25 crore South Africans, 16 crore Thailanders, Rs. 10.26 crore Bulgarians, Rs. 8.75 crore Bangladeshis, Rs. 7.21 crore Afghanis, Rs. 4.76 crore Nepalese, Rs. 4.37 crore Ethiopians, Rs. 3.41 crore Tanzanians, Rs. 3.29 crore Algerians, Rs. 2.42 crore Lebanese, Rs. one crore Philippinians and Turkish and Rs. 50 lakh transactions were made by buyers of UK. Maximum Rs. 84 crore transactions were made by entrepreneurs of Gwalior district followed by Morena Rs. 27 crore, Datia Rs. 7 crore, Indore Rs. 28 crore, Mandideep Rs. 17 crore, Dewas Rs. 9 crore and transactions worth Rs. one crore were made by entrepreneurs of Bhopal district. Excellent stones of Gwalior-Chambal region fascinated foreigners. At the meet, Prabhu Stone Private Limited entered into EOI worth Rs. 6 crore with Ghana.
