4G high speed mobile connectivity will increase in CG at 17000 villages

Raipur. Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, the presentation of the Communication Revolution Scheme was presented to the Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries on Monday evening. Under the scheme, 4-G High Speed ​​Mobile Connectivity will be increased to 17 thousand villages of the state. For the Communication Revolution scheme, the budget of one thousand 467 crores 90 lakhs has been approved by the state government.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that the state government has a unique effort in increasing its mobile connectivity. Such efforts have not been done in any state of the country so far. Our plan can also be a model for other states.

The Chief Minister said that only 29 percent of the households in the rural areas have the call, while the mobile phone availability average is 72 percent in the country. There are less than 50 percent network coverage in ten districts of the state, while there are four districts where this coverage is less than 15 percent.

Keeping these facts in mind, the state government is launching the Chhattisgarh Communication Revolution scheme. A provision for setting up mobile towers has also been made. It was informed in the presentation that the Communication Revolution Plan (SKY) will be run by the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (Chips). Under this, distribution of free smart phones and a SIM card to more than 5 million people will be distributed.
