1st Jheel Mahotsav in Bhopal starts from 14
Bhopal: Jheel Mahotsav is being held for the first time in city of lakes Bhopal by the state government from February 14 to 16. Apart from water sports and cultural programmes, a photography competition will also be held during the 3-day event in which both amateur and professional photographers can participate. Rs. 1,00,000 will be given to first prize winner photographer, Rs. 50,000 to second, Rs. 20,000 to third and Rs. 5 thousand each will be given to 2 consolation prize winners. Selected photographs’ exhibition will also be put up.
Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner Shri M.M. Upadhyay informed that preparations are on for the mega event.
Subject of photography competition is Bhopal’s Upper Lake, its beauty and life around it. Entries for photographs can be sent till January 25, 2014 to Madhya Pradesh Madhyam, 40, Administrative Area, Arera Hills, Bhopal. Application forms, rules and conditions are available on Madhya Pradesh Madhyam’s website www.mpmadhyam.in and Directorate of Public Relations’ wesbsite www.mpinfo.org.
During Jheel Mahotsav, a book “Kavita Mein Jheel” will also be published. The book will contain poems of leading poets focusing on the lake. If anyone wishes to get his poem included in the book, he can send the same till January 25 to Chief Administrative Officer, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal or e-mail to [email protected]. Poem will be published if is worthy publishing.
