120 kilometer long roads to be built in state
Bhopal. A sum of Rs. 73 crore 36 lakh 34 thousand has been sanctioned for 23 road construction works in various divisions. Roads measuring 120.91 kilometers will be constructed by utilising these funds. These works were recommended at Standing Finance Committee of Public Works Department recently. Besides these roads, recommendation of two bridges’ construction has also been made.
Of sanctioned works, Rs. 23 crore 32 lakh 75 thousand has been sanctioned for seven roads in Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Vidisha districts of Bhopal division, Rs. 29 crore 24 lakh 91 thousand for nine roads in Indore, Dhar and Khargone districts of Indore division, Rs. four crore five lakh 92 thousand for two roads in Morena district and Rs. six crore 58 lakh 11 thousand for construction of two roads in Damoh district of Sagar division. One road each has been recommended in Gwalior and Rewa districts at a cost of Rs. three crore 62 lakh 76 thousand and Rs. three crore 64 lakh 83 thousand, respectively.
In Bhopal district, 3.62 kilometer long road from Piplani B Sector to Khajuri Kalan Bypass will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 436.73 lakh, 2.05 kilometer long road from village Rapdiya to Bangrasia at a cost of Rs. 140.99 lakh and 4.46 kilometer long road from village Deepdi to Samardha Kaliyosote. In Hoshangabad city, 0.86 kilometer four-lane will be built from Satrasta to Nehru Park Overhead Tank at a cost of Rs. 187.30 lakh. Similarly, 8.60 kilometer road from Padriya-Rangai via Karhaiya to Vidhan Road will be built in Vidish at a cost of Rs. 563.16 lakh, 4.54 kilometer road from Dasipur Gunjari to Hydergarh at a cost of Rs. 290.16 lakh and 6.88 kilometer long road from Atari Khejda to Dinghora-Manora at a cost of Rs. 395 crore.
In Indore division, two kilometer long Janapao Temple approach road will be built at a cost of Rs. 231.46 lakh in Indore district, 5.50 kilometer long road from Govardhan Gaushala to Hingonia Junction Road (NABARD scheme) at a cost of Rs. 215.79 lakh, 9.5 kilometer road from Beka to Raskunda-Kulthana Road at a cost of Rs. 686.24 crore and three kilometer long road from Kolani to Sherpur at a cost of Rs. 216.99 lakh.
In Dhar district 4.86 kilometer long road will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 288.36 lakh from Kanbarwa to Gandhwani and 8.55 kilometer road from Gandhwani to Chikli at a cost of Rs. 463.88 lakh.
In Khargone district, 8.80 kilometer long road will be constructed from Satrati to Bhoinda at a cost of Rs. 414.98 lakh and 2.60 kilometer long road from Kothabuzurg to Kothakhurd at a cost of Rs. 114.70 lakh. In Khandwa, 6.42 kilometer long road will be constructed under NABRAD Scheme from Bhakrada to Bamangaon Khedikitta at a cost of Rs. 292.51 crore.
Rs. 224.85 lakh will be spent on construction of six kilometer long road from Rajora to Satho via Nagela Road in Morena district and Rs. 181.08 lakh on 4.60 kilometer road from Taraini to Durgadas Ki Garhi via Dhot Keerat. In Damoh district, Rs. 450.59 lakh will be spent on construction of 7.10 kilometer road from Kaikhera to Harijantola Tigra and Rs. 207.52 lakh on four kilometer long road from Jhagri (Waisli) Karaiya Rakh-Laxmankuti.
In Gwalior district, 1.725 kilometer four-lane road will be constructed from New Collectorate City Centre to Sirol Trisection in Gwalior city at a cost of Rs. 362.76 lakh. Similarly 7.05 kilometer road from Majhiyari Pathri to Padri Sirmaur will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 287.06 lakh in Rewa district and 8.20 kilometer long road from Pagara Jamunbarra to Lonapathar in Chhindwara district at a cost of Rs. 364.83 lakh.
