100 more ITIs to be started in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while laying the foundation stone of a home textile unit to be set up under a `3,600 crore project of Trident Group at Budhni in Sehore district on Saturday, has said that 100 more ITIs were to be started in Madhya Pradesh under the skill development mission.

The function was presided by the Deputy chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia.The guests of honour included International Economics Council’s chairperson Dr Isher Ahluwalia and state’s water resources minister Jayant Malaiya.A newly built unit of 174, 632 spindle capacity and 1000-capacity women’s hostel was also inaugrated.

CM said that state is adopting an industry-friendly policy. Ishar Ahluwalia said other states should also follow foot steps of MP in being industry friendly .Deputy chairman Ahluwalia said development should be integrated and all sections of society should benefit. Jayant Malaiya, Water resources minister, said investment in the state was profitable.
