wheat at Re. 1 per kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg from June in MP

Bhopal: From June 1, wheat will be provided at Re. 1 per kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg to the poor in the state. Compensation will be also be given in the case of death of livestock due to lightning. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed district collectors to take sou moto initiative for helping the poor and adopt a positive attitude. Shri Chouhan also said that collectors are fully accountable to ensure that there is no irregularity in schemes.

Shri Chouhan was discussing applicants’ problems with them through Samadhan Online at Mantralaya here today. Shri Chouhan directed to ensure all necessary preparations to provide wheat at the rate of Re. 1 per kg, rice at Rs. 2 per kg and iodised salt at Re. 1 per kg to the poor from June 1.

Shri Chouhan directed to make necessary preparations in view of challenges to come up during summer. He said that villages ridden with drinking water problems should be identified in advance. He said that process of providing wheat at the rate of Re. 1 per kg, rice at Rs. 2 per kg and iodised salt at Re. 1 per kg to the poor from will be started from June 1. Giving directives to collectors to make preparations for this, he said that if possible,for the convenience of needy families can be motivated to store 100 kg food grains simultaneously. No irregularity in this will be tolerated.

On the complaint of Narayan of village Sarra in Multai tahsil of Betul district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to provide compensation to him and make amendment in revenue book circular. Under the existing provisions, a person is given compensation against death of only one cattle due to lightening while more cattle heads may have died due to this natural calamity.

Directing to ensure effective steps for prevention of seasonal diseases during summer, the Chief Minister stressed the need to alert lowest cadre staff to give send information as soon as diseases breaks out. He directed to attach top priority to construction of houses under Indira Kuteer Yojana and Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Mission.

The Chief Minister directed to sanction loan within 7 days to Sushri Mahima Deora to pursuing studies at National Law University, Bhopal. He directed to provide pension to Kusum Saket of Rewa. In the case of Shri Amar Singh of Harda, the Chief Minster directed provision of appeal should be made if compensation against death of a labourer registered under Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is not given within 90 days and his family should be provided compensation amount. In the case of Shri Chhetar Singh, also of Harda, Shri Chouhan directed to provide compensation against teak wood allotted to him within 7 days. He said that price of wood should be calculated on the basis of current rates.

The Chief Minister directed collectors to apprise him immediately of positive disposal of applications received by him during his visits. He asked the collectors that a number of people complain to him and seeks various kinds of assistance during his visits. But they cannot write applications. For this, collectors should arrange one officer during his visits, who can write such people’s applications on the spot and initiate action. He said that in come cases, applicants need immediate medical treatment. In such cases, collectors should ensure concerning person’s treatment so that procedural delays do not affect treatment. Such cases will be sanctioned immediately at the state level.

Giving directives on the application of Shri Vasudev of Seoni district, Shri Chouhan instructed any kind of payment should not remain pending at local bodies and panchayats. He said that information about pending cases and payment should be made public at Gram Sabhas. In the case of Smt. Sakal Bai of Seoni, the Chief Minister directed all collectors to make payment against loss to corps by wildlife in time. On the complaint of Shri Kailash Kasat of Barwani, the Chief Minister took serious note of delay of transfer of funds for purchasing uniform to the bank accounts of students of Girls Middle School. He directed that delay in transfer of funds to students’ bank accounts will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against accountable persons. in the case of Shri Ram Singh of Ashok Nagar, the Chief Minister said that in such cases, Mandi Board should set up a centralised system for payment of grant and assistance of last rites. He said that such funds should be provided immediately in one’s hour of crisis. Applications of Smt. Geeta Yadav of Sagar, Shri R.K. Pooriviya of Hoshangabad and Shri Bhim Singh of Chhatarpur were also disposed of.

Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, Additional Chief Secertary Smt. Aruna Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Manoj Shrivastava and senior officers were present during Samadhan Online.
