Woman Sets Ablaze Husband to Death
A woman reportedly set ablaze her husband to death on suspicion of an illicit relationship with some other woman, said police.
Police said that the couple had been quarreling since a long time after Jyoti started suspecting that her husband Pappu Bhagirath (35) was having illicit relationship.
Last night, heated argument took place between them, following which, when Bhagirath fell asleep, Jyoti poured kerosene oil on him and set him on fire, said police.
Bhagirath was rushed to a close-by hospital where he breathed his last in the small hours of today, police added.
Before he succumbed to his burn injuries, Bhagirath told the police that his wife has set him on fire as she suspected he was having illicit relationship with a woman, they said. After registering a case, police was searching for Jyoti to arrest her, police said.
