More Effective System to be in place for safety of Foreign visitors: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all out efforts are being made to put an effective curb on crimes in the state. The state government would itself take care of foreign visitors and keep track of their journey in the state. An effective system would be put in place for their better security and safety, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the recent incident with a Swiss couple in Datia district is unfortunate, saddening and painful. In recent past the culprits have been brought to justice in cases of crime against women by taking prompt action in Madhya Pradesh. In last three months six rapists have been awarded death sentence, 22 lifer and 19 have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. Efforts would continue to ensure effective action in such cases in future, too, he said.
