Chhattisgarh: 33 Congressmen protest against CM’s wish to contest, total 1500 applications

The battle for the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh has started. The Congress is once again hoping to return to power and has opened a front against Raman Singh. The Congress has applied for 90 Assembly seats in the state with 1500 candidates. Congress may release its first electoral list in September.

In this list, 33 people in Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency have expressed their desire to contest the elections. Let me tell you that Chief Minister Raman Singh wins the Assembly election from this constituency. Apart from Raman Singh, Ajit Jogi will also contest from this constituency.

On Tuesday, the application period for the candidature of the Congress has ended. In addition to Raman Singh, 33 claim against PWD minister Rajesh Murat in the state government, 35 claimants in front of Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has expressed the desire to contest the elections.

Apart from this, there are 75 applicants in the Belatar seat, while there are 50 applications in the assembly seat reserved for the majority. Prior to this seat, Union Minister, Congress election campaign committee chief, Charandas Mahant contest elections. But this time they have not applied.

Congress will announce the names of nominees for all the 90 seats in next month for assembly elections in Chhattisgarh next month. The state’s party in-charge, PL Punia, gave this information on Monday.

He said that all names will be announced by the first or second week of September. The PCC will send the names of the candidates to all the seats by the end of August.
