CM launches setu sampark Yojna for Health Department

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched “Sampark Setu” programme for connecting health workers of the Health Department with special sim cards here today. Under the programme, 77 thousand sim cards are being distributed to health workers. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra was specially present at the programme held on ASHA Diwas.
At the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan held discussion through mobile with ASHa worker Smt. Nirmala Makwana at village Gopalpura in tribal-dominated Jhabua district and sought information regarding health schemes. Congratulating the Health Department, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that services of the department will improve further as a result of prompt sharing of information. Information from remote areas will be received immediately. The Health Department staff will remain in live contact. He said that information regarding vaccination, institutional delivery, Janani Suraksha and other health schemes can also be gathered through this programme.
Holding direct dialogue with ASHA worker of Jhabua district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought information regarding all schemes. He asked whether timely payment is being made to vaccination workers and if there is outbreak of any disease in the area. Eliciting information about institutional delivery and other departmental schemes, he exhorted all workers to work more effectively to provide better health services to villagers.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also released a CD “Swasthya Sargam” on health-related schemes and brochure of ASHA guidelines. Principal Secretary Health Shri Praveer Krishna, Secretary Smt. Suraj Damor, Commissioner Health Shri Pankaj Agrawal, Director Health Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Director Health Shri Ashok Sharma and other officers and employees of the Health Department were present on the occasion.
Under Sampark Setu Yojna, 77 thousand sim cards are being provided to all ASHA workers, ANMs, MPWs, Supervisors, Block Health Officers, in-charge doctors of health institutions (primary/community health centres and civil hospitals), development block Programme Managers, Civil Surgeons and Chief Medical & Health Officers. Following distribution of these sim cards, Health Department officers will be able to hold direct dialogue with officers and health workers upto sub-health centres. Immediate information can be sent in case of a disease in any remote area of the state. Besides, higher officers will also be able to seek information from workers on the same issues and give them necessary directives.
