Pak Should Control Cross-border Infiltration: India
With India-Pakistan foreign secretary level talks scheduled on February 25, the Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju has said commenting on cross border infiltration that ‘fostering’ terrorism across the border will only ruin bilateral ties, said media reports.
Speaking at a naval seminar at Def expo 2010, Raju was quoted as saying: “We anticipate infiltration (into Jammu and Kashmir) as the snows melt. It happens every year. It is unfortunate that conscious fostering of terrorism from across the border is not helping bilateral relations.”
“I hope the government of Pakistan takes action to contain it.”
After ending all talks with Pakistan following 26/11 attacks, government recently decided to go ahead on talks with Pakistan as it seemed necessary to do so to combat terrorism and announced the date for the same as 25th February.
India has stated that the focus will be terrorism but other issues of mutual concern will also be discussed.
