Kerala CM for Strong Steps to Tackle Terrorism, Maoism

In the wake of Pune blast and Maoist attack on a paramilitary camp in West Bengal, Kerala chief minister VS Achuthanandan has said that strong steps should be taken to safeguard the state from subversive activities of anti-national forces, reported PTI.

“Terrorist strikes being reported from different parts of the country are matters of grave concern,” he was quoted as saying.

Talking to reports after state cabinet meeting, Achuthanandan said that terrorist threat should be viewed seriously and stern measures taken to tackle the menace, said report.

As many as 11 people died in Pune blast while 24 jawans were killed when Maoists attacked the Eastern Frontier Rifles’ camp at Silda in West Bengal.
