Padamsinh Patil May Be Subjected to Scientific Tests
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is thinking of carrying out scientific tests – brain mapping and so on – on NCP leader Padamsinh Patil for his “not cooperating” with the investigation team in Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar murder case.
Patil, who is in judicial custody till June 14, is undergoing grilling for his alleged role in the murder of Nimbalkar in June 2006
CBI sources said that Patil has been “beating about the bush” since his interrogation began rather than cooperating with the investigators.
Sources further say that if he continues to evade questions like this, he will be subjected to scientific tests like brain mapping.
Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts has arrived from Delhi to conduct tests on the two vehicles – one used by the accused to flee from the scene and the other belonging to Nimbalkar in which he was shot dead.
After shooting Nimbalkar in Navi Mumbai, the accused and his driver Samad Kazi ran away in an Indica car, which CBI recovered two weeks back from Panvel in a burnt condition.
Besides Patil, the CBI has arrested four persons in the case – Mohan Shukla, Satish Mandade, Parasmal Jain and Dinesh Tiwari.
