India Will Seek Access to Headley: Chidambaram
Welcoming the guilty plea entered by Pakistani-born American national David Coleman Headley, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that India will ask the US for access to Headley, said media reports.
“We will continue to press our request for access to interrogate him (Headley),” Chidambaram was quoted as saying while talking to reporters in the Indian capital, Delhi.
“There are many more questions that we want to ask, much more information that we wish to get,” he added.
The minister said that he had gone through a copy of plea agreement entered by Headley and that India would be satisfied if he got life imprisonment, said reports.
Chidambaram also said that US had shared a considerable amount of information that emerged from questioning of Headley and it was helping India’s probe into the Mumbai attacks, said reports.
