India Files 26/11 Mumbai Terror Chargesheet
Mumbai Police on Wednesday filed a chargesheet to metropolitan magistrate MJ Mirza in the 26/11 terror attacks case. The 5000 page document, a copy of which will also be given to Ajmal Amir Kasab – the lone attacker captured alive during the terror attack, has been written in seven languages including Urdu
Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and the top brass of the Mumbai police crime branch investigating into arguably the worst ever terror attack in India, were present in the court room.
The chargesheet names Kasab and 19 others as accused in the gruesome 26/11 terror attack that left over 170 dead and scores of others wounded.
Kasab will reportedly be tried under the country’s toughest anti-crime law.
The chargesheet provides evidence of the involvement of elements from Pakistan in the Mumbai terror attacks.
