Haryana Speaker Suspends Opposition for Remaining Session
Haryana Assembly speaker HS Chatha on Monday suspended the entire opposition for the remainder of the budget session after it created ruckus in the House over disallowing an adjournment motion.
The 35 MLAs were suspended for nine days till March 16 after they forced three adjournments in one hour.
Those placed under suspension include 31 INLD members, three BJP lawmakers and one Shiromani Akali Dal MLA.
The fourth BJP MLA Kavita Jain was not present in the House.
The lone BSP legislator Akram Khan and seven Independents are supporting the government in the 90-member assembly.
INLD and BJP MLAs will meet Governor Jagannath Pahadia Tuesday to register protest against their suspension.
