Gunfight in J&K, Two Militants Shot Dead

Two militants were killed in Kulgam district of South Kashmir when a gunbattle broke out between them and security forces in the morning, said media reports.

Police said that gunfight began as militants who were hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on a joint search party of police and security forces at Khodwani, 70 km from capital Srinagar, said reports.

The militants are believed to be holed up inside a house, reports said.

A joint team of Army and police executed the encounter and the exchange of fire was still on when reports last came in, said reports.
