Digvijay Named Congress Co-ordinator for Maharashtra Polls

AICC general secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh has been given the responsibility of the state assembly elections in Maharashtra, said a statement issued by party general Secretary in-charge for the state AK Antony.

Antony said: “Singh will coordinate matters related to Maharashtra state assembly elections as well as matters between Congress and NCP as a representative of the AICC in consultation with the state leaders.”

Antony, however, retains overall charge of the party affairs in the state.
