Complete infrastructure development works in Govindpura industrial area soon: Gaur
Bhopal: Urban Administration & Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur has said that infrastructure development works in Govindpura industrial area should be completed at the earliest. He directed officers of Municipal Corporation and Industries Department to complete these work within time-limit with coordination. Shri Gaur chaired a meeting to this effect here today. A scheme worth Rs. 36 crore has been chalked out for construction of roads and ensure other facilities in Govindpura industrial area. Of this, Rs. 33 crore has been sanctioned as loan by HUDCO. Minister Shri Gaur also directed the officers to make Govindpura industrial area encroachment-free.
It was informed at the meeting that under the scheme, a 3.5 km long four-lane road is being constructed upto bypass road. After its construction, heavy vehicles will be able to make sorties to Industrial areas round-the-clock. It was informed that foundation for this work is expected to be laid on May 22. The Municipal Corporation is also installing streetlights in the area. Rs. 2 crore has been provisioned for this. High masts have been installed at four places in the industrial area. The Municipal Corporation is also constructing a 15 lakh litre capacity overhead tanks. A fire station is also being set up for safety reasons in the industrial area.
Govindpura industrial area is spread over 729 acre. Over 600 units are operational in this over 50 years old industrial area. Officers of Municipal Corporation, Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam and district administration attended the meeting.
