With monsoon of the Parliament drawing to a close, the BJP has made up its mind to keep alive the two most burning latest issues – Indo-Pak Joint Statement delinking terror from the composite dialogue and price rise. Patry MPs will rake them up at the constituency level.
At the end of ongoing session, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader LK Advani asked party MPs to “take to streets” the issue of Indo-Pak Joint Statement and hike of prices of essential commodities.
Talking to reporters, BJP Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said that Advani, during his address to “wrap up” session of the party’s Parliamentary Party meeting, asked the MPs to travel around their constituencies “to spread awareness about the government’s mistake to delink action against terror from composite dialogue and the issue of rising prices.
“Advani ji asked them to raise the two issues before thepeople after the session ends,” Swaraj said.
According to Swaraj, Advani expressed satisfaction at the attendance and performance of BJP MPs in both Houses of Parliament. The party is also “pleased” that the government has unexpectedly given so many issues to the opposition by its mistakes so soon after the elections.
The BJP leader claimed that her party managed to raise important issues and corner the government on various occasions without disrupting the House.
