MP daughter first Indian woman to represent country in Olympic: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh’s daughter Prachi Yadav has become the first Indian woman to represent India at the Olympic level in Para-Canoeing. Prachi’s father fulfilled his responsibility and recognised the talent of the daughter and gave her the opportunity to play. Chouhan congratulated Prachi by tweeting today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Prachi Yadav while interacting virtually. An avid swimmer, Prachi took up the sport of canoeing and mastered it. Due to her determination, Divyangta never hindered her sports performance.

It is noteworthy that two talents trained in Madhya Pradesh are participating in the Para Olympics being held in Tokyo from August 24 to September 5. Prachi Yadav in Canoeing and Sharad Kumar in High Jump will represent India. Chief Minister Chouhan had also honoured them in a programme organised at Minto Hall on August 12.
