Wind energy rates should be justifiably prescribed: CM

Bhopal. A delegation of wind energy investors met Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today. They apprised the Chief Minister of their expectations, requirements and problems. Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation of cooperation. He stressed the need for prescribing justifiable tariffs of wind energy for project’s viability. He said that balance in rates of alternative energy is necessary. Rates should not be so low that project’s operation becomes impossible and not too high that they go out of purchasing power of consumers. The Chief Minister directed departmental officers to hold discussions with investors and present a proposal regarding their problems. He stressed the need for prescribe wind energy’s consumption till year 2022 in 3-year phases.
