Painting is important medium of creative expression: Governor

Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that painting is important medium of creative expression. He was inaugurating Abhinav painting exhibition here today. He said that a person can express his inner feelings before common people through using colours with wisdom. A point presented through painting is easily understood by people who get impressed and attracted to it.

The exhibition is being held by Kumari Maitri Das at Swaraj Bhavan art gallery. Governor Shri Yadav inaugurated it by cutting the ribbon.
Governor Shri Yadav said that history of painting in India is very old. Glimpse of Indian culture and ancient era unity can be seen in Indian paintings. Painters in ancient and Mughal eras were mainly motivated by religious sentiments. A number of unique specimens of painting are found in our country.
Governor Shri Yadav said that along with other subjects, painting has also become an important subject in schools these days. Youths’ interest towards painting has increased, which is becoming a medium of decorating art galleries as well houses. Due to this, employment opportunities through painting have also increased.
Senior journalists Shri Mahesh Shrivastava and Shri Umesh Trivedi and large number of painting lovers were present on the occasion. Governor Shri Yadav wished bright future to Kumari Maitri Devi.
