Child Rights Protection Commission’s joint bench hears 8 cases

Bhopal: A joint bench of Child Rights Protection Commission headed by its Chairperson Smt. Usha Chaturvedi heard 8 out of 15 cases put up before it today and issued necessary directives. Commission’s members Smt. Vijaya Shukla, Dr. Rita Upmanyu, Smt. R. H. Lata and Smt. Reena Gujral were also present at today’s joint bench.

Taking cognizance of news published in news papers about serving of “rotten rice” in meal in Jabalpur, the commission enquired about the case from Nandi Foundation, Jabalpur Zila Panchayat CEO and complainant principal Smt. Ranjana Chakankar of Tilwara Middle School. In his clarification, Nandi Foundation’s representative informed that the foundation has made a lot of changes in the cooking and distribution of meals after receiving the complaint and there will be no such mistake by the foundation in future. The commission gave warning to Shri S.S. Gupta, President, Mihona Juvenile Home in Bhind district regarding irregularities found during its inspection.
Besides, the commission also issued instructions in cases of Laxmi Self Help Group, Rewa, Government SC Block Level Girls Hostel, Sheopur, Middle School, Sihoda, Shahpura, Jabalpur and other cases.
