Process of opening medical college at Shivpuri to start immediately: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the process of opening a medical college in Shivpuri would start immediately. He gave this assurance to a delegation from Shivpuri, which met him at his residence here today. Minister for Commerce and Industries Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia was also present. The delegation included MLA Pohri Shri Prahlad Bharti and Shri BJP Jila President Sushil Raghuwanshi.
Industries Minister Smt. Scindia said that a committee of senior representatives has been constituted for coordination with the administration to resolve the problems of Shivpuri.
Instructions to solve problems of Shivpuri
The Chief Minister also chaired a meeting at Mantralay on the problems of Shivpuri and instructed the authorities to solve them in a stipulated time frame. He gave six months time to resolve city’s drinking water issue. He asked the officers of Urban Development and Environment and Public Works Departments to ensure improvement in city roads. Similarly, the city’s drainage system should also be improved on top priority. Public amenities should be constantly monitored to improve quality of delivery.
Those present at the meeting included Minister for Public Health Engineering Sushri Kusum Mahdele, Minister for Public Works Shri Sartaj Singh, Minister for Commerce and Industries Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Secretary to CM Shri Vivek Agarwal, Collector Shivpuri Shri Rajiv Dube and senior officers of the departments concerned.
