MP CM Chouhan announce to give Rs. 5 lakh to players winning medals

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that India is continuously moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has done a wonderful job by hosting the Khelo India Youth Games. A new India is emerging under his leadership. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the inaugural program of Khelo India Youth Games at Tatya Tope Stadium.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that only yesterday India’s women’s team won the T-20 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. There will be no shortage of funds in Madhya Pradesh to enhance the talent of sportspersons. Eleven sports academies have been established for 18 sports in the state. These games will serve to forge new players. The players of the country will also bring laurels at the international level. The players of Madhya Pradesh who come after winning medals will be given a prize of Rs 5 lakh for the next games. Put your life, make India’s heart beat. Chief Minister Chouhan announced the beginning of Khelo India Youth Games. He congratulated all the players. Chief Minister Chouhan established the sports torch Amarkantak. Chief Minister Chouhan said that we will take care of all the players who have come to participate in the Khelo India Games.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Modi is right in saying that when a player wins a medal in the Olympics, 130 crore spectators feel proud. The Chief Minister said that efforts have been made at every level to promote sports in the state. Earlier Madhya Pradesh was not counted in sports. In the last Khelo India Youth Games, the players of Madhya Pradesh brought laurels to the state by winning 38 medals. He said that earlier the budget for sports in Madhya Pradesh used to be Rs 5 crore, which has now increased to Rs 347 crore. No stone will be left unturned to take forward the players and sports of the state, nor will the shortage of funds be allowed.

Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anurag Thakur said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has done the work of taking sports to new heights in the country. He said that when Khelo India Youth Games were held in Haryana last time, many records were broken, in which the role of girls was remarkable. He congratulated the players for breaking many such records in Madhya Pradesh as well. He said that Prime Minister Modi is constantly working to boost the morale of the players. India’s young players are doing well at the international level. Traditional sports have been included at the national level. Union Minister Shri Thakur felicitated all the sportspersons who had come from every corner of the country in Madhya Pradesh.

State Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that a new chapter of sports is starting in Madhya Pradesh with the Khelo India Youth Games. He thanked the Central Government for giving Khelo India hosting to Madhya Pradesh. He said that because of the Games, players from all over the country have got the opportunity to gather here today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has expanded many sports facilities in the state. Smt. Scindia congratulated the players for their excellent performance.

The ceremony started with the national anthem. Shiv bhakti centered dance performance took place. The culture and historical heritage of Madhya Pradesh was displayed on a 100 meter long stage in the main ground of TT Nagar Stadium. In this, replicas of Narmada Ghat, Khajuraho Temple, Bhimbetka, Shri Mahakal Mahalok, Sanchi Stupa, Temple of Orchha, Bhedaghat and Gwalior Fort were made. The opening ceremony of the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 was accompanied by a laser-show and spectacular fireworks display.

Well-known playback singers of the cine world Shaan and Neeti Mohan enthralled the players and sports lovers present with their song-music performances. ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ was performed by famous South Indian drummer Shivamani and group along with 100 folk artistes. Apart from this, Abhilipsa Panda’s performance on ‘Har Har Shambhu’ and Nataraj Dance Group, G20’s “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” by Prince Dance Group gave a wonderful dance performance. Eminent TV star Jay Bhanushali anchored the event.

Union Minister of State for Sports Nisith Pramanik, Arunachal Pradesh Sports Minister Mama Natung, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chowdhary, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Omprakash Sakhalecha, MP V.D. Sharma, Mayor Malti Rai along with Chief Minister’s wife Sadhna Singh were also present.
