Mob Justice Not Acceptable Under Any Circumstances: Moily
In reaction to attack on former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, Union law minister M Veerappa Moily has said that it is not possible under any circumstances to allow public to take law into their hands, reported CNN-IBN.
Moily was quoted as saying, “That is not the way to settle scores, one has to be tolerant. No person, no matter what the anguish might be, cannot take the law into his own hands.”
Incidents of mob justice are becoming an obvious cause of worry for the Government on one hand and on the other, they also point to the problem of lack of security for the accused within the court premises, report said.
Courts have said over the past few years that their campuses are turning into grounds for retaliation.
