MP: FIR against Congress leader for ‘Haath Todo’ comment in Jabalpur

An FIR is registered against newly appointed Jabalpur District Congress Committee Rural president Nilesh Jain over alleged offensive remarks calling for launching Haath Todo if the corrupt people do not agree with Haath Jodpo.

The police registered the case under section 504 of IPC against the Congress leader on a complaint from Jabalpur district Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Rajmani Singh, according to the police said.

The Congress leader in his address to the party’s public meeting to launch the Haath se Haath Jodo Abhiyan on January 26, 2023 made the alleged comments, the police said.

While Bharatiya Janata Party leader Narendra Saluja tweeted ‘The next campaign of Congress is “Break the hands and feet” campaign… This is the newly appointed District President of Jabalpur Nilesh Jain who is speaking such language… Before this, one of his former ministers had made violent remarks about Modi ji and is still in jail’.
