Speedy development needed in soft computing sector: Governor

Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has laid stress on speedy development of soft computing sector. He said that progress of soft computing sector’s development is slower in our country than other developing countries. New changes and continuous research and development are needed in view of its immense utility.

Governor Shri Yadav was addressing a national conference jointly organised by a private university, IETE, AIII and BRNS at Ravindra Natya Grah at Indore today. Private university’s Chancellor Shri K.L. Thakral and Vice-Chancellor Shri V.D. Abraham, IETE Shri Surendra Patel and Vice-Chancellor of another private university Shri Sandeep Sancheti also spoke on the occasion.
The Governor said that it is due to progress in technology and technical sector that our country is moving ahead towards self-reliance in technology and science sector. Demand for our young technicians and scientists is increasing in the world.
Shri Yadav said that soft computing is very immense sector. It is used in a number of important sectors like robotics, aerospace and low-cost processing. Besides, its use is also increasing in industrial, medical and other sectors. Due to it, demand for trained youths has increased in these sectors.
The Governor said that students should acquire more computer knowledge and training in the changing scenario to contribute in speedy development of state and country. Apart from cities, such conferences should also be held at district, block and town levels. This will give opportunity to youths of backward and rural areas to move ahead. It will also enhance their interest in computer.
It was informed at the conference that soft computing is a sector which can be made more and more useful by exploring immense potential through research. Its use is inevitable in sectors like health, defence, energy. It has also importance in wireless technology, spectrum planning, circuit device, security against terrorism etc. Through one of its techniques called Griffin, various gadgets can be produced at over 100 time speed.
