Advertisement policy for highways to be framed
Bhopal. A policy would be framed for advertisements displayed on the sides of highways in the state. Under the policy, guidelines would be chalked out for hoardings, signboards etc on the sites of highways. Draft of the policy was approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh State Road Development Authority chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today. PWD Minister Shri Sartaj Singh and Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa also attended the meeting.
Shri Chouhan directed for continuous monitoring of roads’ maintenance works. Better and modern arrangements should be made for collections at toll plazas. The meeting was informed that 21 out of 26 border check-posts being constructed by the Authority have been completed. Tenders have been floated for buildings of Ratlam, Shahdol and Vidisha medical colleges. Work of Sidhi-Singrauli 4-lane is in progress.
ACS Finance Shri A.P. Shrivastava, ACS Forests Shri Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary PWD Shri Pramod Agrawal, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Shri Malay Shrivastava, Secretary to CM Shri Hari Ranjan Rao and MD of Road Development Authority Shri Manish Rastogi also attended the meeting.
